Haha! Good one.

Well, I've given my two cents to this topic and that's that. Materialism is ok but some people here take it to ridiculous levels. The game is quite playable without all the fancy loot, and making a serious effort to acquire something extraordinary will just make it feel that much more special.

I think on a pve standpoint the game should revert back to the way it was 21 months ago (on most aspecs of the game). Seperate pvp so that mecanics work different for skills (ga balance there). As for SOLO Farming that was how I got my weps and many of my runes its alot EZ'er to find what your looking for then to buy since its sooo costly. Plus Its alot harder to find people to quest with missions aren't that hard there is always someone for those. All I'm saying is well I guess I get what I pay for which this game is pretty chep (compared to a real MMO)(gw is not an MMO).

P.s. How do I put "Guild Wars is not an MMO in My sig?

Isn't it appropriate to support group play by increasing the amount of loot so that players get their fair share? I don't see it "disadvantaging" farmers so much as making things more fair for everyone.

Now, I saw this line when the notes were being circulated, and figured farmers would rejoice:
  • Repeated map entry no longer reduces loot.
Isn't that message strongly in support of the notion that if you choose to farm, you'll have the freedom to do so?
1. People like the hard mode update, not the farming nerf - don't try to say everyone loves the update when they like most of it but are extremely upset by a part of it.

2. Supporting group play and increasing drops for groups is great, go ahead and do that but leave soloers alone.

3. Why would anyone be happy about the changes to the repeated map entry effects when solo farming has been essentially removed from the game? Of course i can still go into a zone and kill things by myself, but for every 15 things i kill, level 26 things mind you, i now get a whopping 100g!!!

4. In short, most of the update is great, but you have a serious problem with one part of it. Reverse the changes that hurt soloers, keep the increased drops for groups and you'll be heading in the right direction. If not - i'll refer you to your post where you said ANET wouldn't do anything to stop non-bots from farming solo and then you can explain how this update doesn't make that statement a lie.

I really use to love this game. This is a game right? I thought games where suppose to be fun. I remeber first making a 55 monk before all the aoe stuff, man that was fun. However Slowly over time Anet has taken all my enjoyment out of this game and made me frustrated. I am seriously considering giving up.

I mean come on I have all three chapters, thats $150.00. 10 Characters, bought extra character slot $10.00. Shouldn't i have some kinda vote on these changes. Sure bot farming is bad but they wont stop. Most people may go to Ebay to get there items and gold now. This will only push the pour chinese to work harder for there gold. Please Anet think of the pour gold sweat shop worker.

I love to solo and i love to get into groups with real players. I do agree that the heroes have ruined the pug aspect of the game. I seriously dought this will encourage that big of a change in the game to make more people play togehter. I for one like to use heroes more than struggle to find a half way decent real player. Lets face it most casual players out there kinda suck at the game. I dont want to have to keep replaying a mission just hoping i get lucky with a good group.

Why do people need money to buy things? Well lets see all the expensive stuff just looks way better. I mean come on the 1.5k gladiator armor compaired to 15k, big difference to me. There are many examples out there like this one. All the expensive weapons are expensive because of looks. Sure you can have plain ordinary crap but why when you can farm and earn nice things. Might as well make this game with premade armor and weapons starting on your character and have no drops at all. This way we wont have to worry about money or farmers or any thing. We can just all look the same and skills will be the only difference in game.

Just plain and simple everything i start to enjoy gets ruined in this game to were basically i have no choice but to either go with the flow or stop playing. Please Anet dont you guys want people who play your game to be happy? I am not happy any more. Sure you always do great updates but with the good usually comes more bad.
